Important Note:

If you fill out the sign-up form, we will not be asking for any deposit at this time. By filling out the form, you will be on the list (should we fill up)  I will speak to everybody personally by phone before you commit yourself. If we reach our maximum number, then others will go on a wait list. There are inevitably a  few dropouts. Magazine advertising of this caravan (if needed) will begin in May.

If you already filled out the expression of interest form we had up here in Dec-Feb, there is no need to fill it out again, you are already on the priority list. As long as we have your names. If you had filled them out for more than one party, you should each do one.

By signing up now, you protect yourself against any price increase.

Please note this caravan is 64 days long. If you do not have that sort of time or flexibility available, there are other companies with shorter caravans, we can recommend. This the only caravan we operate.

The Caravan:

Join us for a fully escorted "English Speaking" RV Tour down Mexico's west coast from Nogales to Teacapan, south of Mazatlan, and then on to Guadalajara & La Penita, north of Puerto Vallarta. Our tour will feature both city and beach camping plus an opportunity to explore Mexico's spectacular Copper Canyon (all inclusive included). We will also experience Carnival In Mazatlan. The tour will depart Nogales, Arizona and cross the border again  at Lukeville, Arizona about 2 months later. Tours & RV park fees are included . The tour will be led by wagon masters experienced in this route. The tour will also be escorted by the Green Angels (like AAA). This caravan is designed for those who have more time on their hands and do not want a quick "up & down" trip. After all if it is costing that much to get down there, you want some time to spend at the final destination, not just turn around & head home. If you are looking for a shorter trip, you can try Adventure. They offer a shorter similar trip for 30 days as far as Mazatlan for around the same price, and are reputable.

The length of the trip ensures everyone will have about 5 weeks of "no travel' days to relax. This sets this apart from usual caravan tours. Travel days will be kept as short as possible, the longest is about 6-7 hours, most are 3-4 hours or less. Most days are on toll roads which are up to US Interstate standards. Tolls range from $100-$250 each way depending on the number of axles on your rig/tow vehicle/trailer.

The Price:

The price will be as quoted here for anyone signing up on the form (see link to left). We may raise it during the year if we need to advertise. One way we are able to offer a longer trip, going farther than our competition is by keeping advertising to a minimum. We are therefore trying out the strategy of offering a low web price and seeing if we can fill the slots that way. If we have to advertise later in the year, to get more people, we may raise the price later in the year to compensate. However, anyone signing up gets the price quoted on this website at the time of signup.

The trip is  about 2500 miles total. The price per rig (2 people) is $5800 for 64 days.  While this may sound like a lot, it is competitive with other operators. Furthermore, our tour goes all the way to Guadalajara, others stop at Mazatlan. Our tour is geared for those who have more time available, and want to relax & enjoy the destination for a few weeks rather than be on the move all the time. We realize many do not have that luxury, and there are other caravan companies who cater to those.

This open to everyone, Canadians, Americans or European visitors with their own RV.

Pets are OK

We need at least 10 rigs and the  maximum is 20. We consider 12-14 ideal. All size rigs are OK.

Take some time to explore the links at the left, see the details of the trip, some photos of the parks we will stay at, and information on insurance,  etc.

You may sign up now with no obligation. We will be asking for the first deposit of $300 once we have at least 10 interested parties, followed by 50% in early fall. You will pay the balance when you join the caravan.

This tour is being organized by Caravanas de Mexico RV Tours, S.A. de C.V., a company with over 25 years experience organizing Mexican Caravans, primarily for the Quebec market where RV caravans to Mexico are very popular. This is the only Mexican company organizing caravans. This will be an English Speaking Caravan, although English speakers from Quebec are certainly welcome. We do not want language islands forming, as the social aspect of Caravans are one their major appeals. There are French speaking alternatives available, and we can certainly recommend some of those looking for a French speaking one.

Caravanas de Mexico's partner in this endeavour is Paul Beddows, co-founder and former president of NATCOA, the North American Truck Camper Owners Association. Paul is an experienced Mexico RV'er and is helping co-ordinate the North American end of this caravan. Paul has also personally led caravans in the past. You may contact him by phone at 604-852-1342 with any questions after May 7th.

Looking for a Baja caravan instead? We highly recommend our friends at Baja Amigos.
